lactation support in the comfort of your own home.

Intial Consultation

Congratulations on the Arrival of Your Baby!

First and foremost, congratulations on the arrival of your little one! The early days of breastfeeding can be a learning curve, but you’re not alone. My goal is to support you every step of the way.

Initial Consultations:
I prioritize in-home visits for families with babies under one month old whenever scheduling allows. Initial consultations are usually conducted in your home to provide the most comfortable and personalized care. For babies older than one month or follow-up visits, these will typically be scheduled in my office based on availability.

Our Support Services:
Whether you’re breastfeeding for the first time or are an experienced parent facing new challenges, it’s completely normal to have questions. Additionally, evidence-based care is always evolving, so we stay updated to provide you with the best support possible.

At your first visit, we’ll discuss your health history, your birth experience, and any concerns or goals you have regarding breastfeeding. Together, we will develop a feeding plan tailored to your family’s unique needs.

We are here to support you with issues such as:

  • Pain or difficulty with latch

  • Engorgement

  • Supplementation needs

  • Low milk supply

  • Hyperlactation (oversupply)

  • Slow weight gain concerns

  • Pumping and milk expression

  • Bottle or supplemental feeding

  • Oral function concerns

  • And much more!

What to Expect at the Visit:
My goal during our visit is to witness a feeding. Please try to schedule our appointment during a time when your baby is hungry (or close to it), as this will allow me to observe a feed—whether at the breast or with a bottle. If possible, I will perform a weighted feed, which involves weighing your baby before and after feeding to measure how much milk has been transferred. This technique can provide valuable insight into what’s happening during the feeding session.

Expect visits to last approximately 60-75 minutes, as we’ll take the time to address all of your concerns and create a plan that works for you and your baby.

I’m here to help and guide you on this beautiful journey—please reach out with any questions or to schedule your visit!.
